What Kumbaa is, and isn't
Kumbaa is for the family you already know. You start an archive, invite the family, and each of them fills in the branch they know best. Faces are found in every photo and named once, and "How are we related?" says any two people's relationship in words.
It isn't a records search or a DNA test, and it isn't a public tree shared with strangers. If you want to find ancestors in census returns or match DNA with distant cousins, Ancestry, MyHeritage and FamilySearch do that well. These pages say plainly where each of them is the better choice.
